Four Tons of Impact at our Annual Shred and Recycle Event

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Annual Shred and Recycle Event Saturday. Together we did more than just clear out old files and clutter - we took a massive stand for our local environment, collecting 17% more paper, electronics and medications than last year!

The Facts

🌳 Saved 29 Trees: By recycling 1.7 tons of paper, we’ve preserved a small forest’s worth of oxygen-producing power.

💧 Saved 11,900 Gallons of Water: That is enough to fill a backyard pool, all while preventing 7,140 kWh of energy from being wasted.

💻 2 Tons of E-Waste Diverted: We kept 4,000 lbs of electronics out of Ohio landfills, safely managing heavy metals and avoiding the carbon emissions equivalent of a car driving for an entire year.

💊 3.5 Boxes of Medication Safely Disposed: By properly disposing of old prescriptions, we protected our local watershed and aquatic life from harmful chemical contamination.

A special shout out to our sponsors, service providers and volunteers who helped make this event a success.
